A leisurely morning paddle taking you around the vibrant tributaries of East Margaree. Beginning at Levy's Bridge (just below Larche Wood Enterprises), the tour includes a thorough lesson as you paddle around the River. Let the stunning valley views and be the back drop to a revitalizing morning on the Cabot Trail.
This tour seriously rocks! It begins at Margaree River Forks, and weaves you through a series of salmon pools, into the lush interval farmlands. Offering a little more than your typical flatwater paddle, this lazy run has a few tricks up its sleeve. No experience required, just a fun attitude and confidence! An experienced guide will be with you to smoothly navigate through this ever changing course. Be sure to wear something you're cool getting wet in; I'm not saying that you're gonna get wet, but... you are standing on a boards floating down a river..
The calming of the evening sea allows us to adventure up around “The Monster” rockface that bookends the Margaree Harbour Beach. On the other side of the Monster lies a couple of hidden beaches that are only accessible by water, which are ideal for snorkeling. Throughout the lobster season this cove a popular spot for trap setting, the seas floor is rich in vegetaion and aquatic life (with lobster, crab, periwinkles, molluscs, starfish, small fish, sea bass, mackerel, and more). After the snorkel, relax on the beach and you will be treated to refreshments (snack and beverage), as you take in the sunset.
A perfect spot for groups and beginners! The mouth of the Cheticamp River provides a safe and sheltered paddling space, with a world class view. Explore the vibrant Cheticamp River estuary, or play around on the open sea; this spot has something for everyone. The sunsets here are probably the best on the island (which puts that up there with some of the best in the world).
